Bullet Swages - .340"to .730"

Bullet swaging die sets that are in stock and can be shipped now are listed below. There may be one set in stock or more than one. These are first come, first served so who-ever places an order first gets the set. The caliber and type of set (type of bullet made) will change now and then so if you don’t see what you want it may be there later. Complete die sets are usually listed. Individual dies may be ordered.

All dies and accessories are for the Walnut Hill press or other presses made by RCE, LLC. No other types of dies will be stocked or made.

355 Lead Bullet Die

A single die that makes a lead .355″ bullet with a flat base. The bullet is a semi-wadcutter (SWC) style that has a step where the ogive and bearing meet. Two nose forming punches are included to make a round nose bullet and a short Keith style shape. A hollow point punch is included. A bullet is made with each press stroke and excess lead is bled off through a hole in the side of the die.

One-half or three-quarter jacketed bullets can be made or a gas check can be swaged onto the bullets base.

Three die set to make a .358″ flat base 4S spitzer bullet. The set includes the core swage, core seat, and point form dies. Also included are two core seat punches to work with fired 223 Rem./5.56 cases made into 35 caliber jackets. The set can make open tip, flush tip, and soft point bullets.

A die set to make a pure lead .400″ diameter lead bullet with a flat base. The set has nose forming punches to make a Keith style and a round nose bullet. A hollow point punch is included to make hollow point bullets. Gas check bullets, 1/2 jacketed, and 3/4 jacketed bullets can also be made. If using short jackets be sure that some lead is exposed beyond the jacket mouth to avoid crushing the jacket as the core is seated. Fits and functions only with any RCE, LLC press.

Single die to make a lead .452″ bullet with a flat base. Proper diameter for the 45 ACP, new 45 Long Colt revolvers, or 454 Casull with light loads. Makes a semi-wadcutter (SWC) style bullet that has a step where the ogive and bearing meet. Two nose forming punches are included. One makes a 3/4E round nose and the other a Keith style nose. Hollow points can be made. 180 grain to 250 grain or heavier bullets. The die bleeds off excess lead through a hole in the side of the die to control the bullet weight. Use with any press made by RCE, LLC but no others.

Single die to make a lead .454″ bullet with a flat base. Proper diameter for the older 45 Long Colt as it used to be called. Newer handguns may need a .452″ bullet. Hollow points can be made. 180 grain to 250 grain or heavier bullets. The die bleeds off excess lead through a hole in the side of the die to control the bullet weight. Three die set that makes a .458″ bullet with a flat base and a 1E flat tip. Good bullet for tubular magazine rifles. The set includes a .348″ core swage, core seat, and the point forming die. Core seat punches (2) are included to work with jackets made from fired 308 W. cases or others with a similar head diameter.

Single die to make a lead .512″ bullet with a flat base. Makes a semi-wadcutter (SWC) style bullets that have a step where the ogive and bearing meet. Nose forming punches to make a 1EFN and 1E Round Nose. Hollow points can be made. The 1E and 1EFN bullets are for the various old 50 calilber rifles that use the .512″ bullet as well as more modern cartridges. The die bleeds off excess lead through a hole in the side of the die to control the bullet weight.

1/2" Star Base Tubing Jacket Maker

New type of tubing jacket maker. The Star Base jacket maker uses 1/2″ diameter hard, straight copper tubing. 3/8 type L and 3/8 type M (1/2″ actual diameter). Makes both thicker and thinner jackets and lengths from 1/2″ up to 1 1/2″. Makes both 510 and 500 caliber jackets. The set includes the jacket maker die, jacket redraw die (1/2″ to 500 caliber), end flattening punch, core seat punches for 510 and 500 calibers using L and M thickness tubing, and a core swage die.

The basic 1/2″ diameter jacket can be reduced to smaller sizes down to 400 caliber using optional jacket reducer dies. The reducer die would come with two core seating punches. A core swage die would be needed for the smaller sizes.
